From campaign tool to social media phenomenon

All around the world, and all over the web, charities are managing thousands of individual campaigns run by their members. Each has their own goal but their requirements are different and the management and knowledge sharing an almost insurmountable challenge. To meet these global requirements, Climate Orb was developed for Oxfam last year, The application allows individuals to combine content from web sites, blogs, videos from YouTube and images from Flikr – giving the Oxfam brand a consistent look and feel while providing thousands of fundraisers with a powerful promotional and communication tool. Its success has led to Version 2, which has been adopted by the GCAA – a global movement for climate change involving Greenpeace, WWF, Christian Aid and E3G, among others - for their TckTckTck.org campaign.
